After a meeting with ministers from the countries that had citizens on the plane, it is clear that they will negotiate together for compensation. Iran has previously assumed responsibility for the shooting and promised compensation, but wanted to negotiate with the victims' families.

"We have signed a memorandum of understanding that we will now negotiate jointly with Iran on compensation, compensation to the victims' relatives," Linde told TT.

On the TT's question whether Iran will really pay compensation, Ann Linde replies.

- There is no doubt about that.

However, it is not clear what sums can be talked about, the negotiations should clear.

Linde says that relatives of the 17 people who had Swedish citizenship or residence permits here have been informed.

In the plane, which according to Iran was accidentally shot down, there were 17 people with Swedish citizenship or residence permit in Sweden. Also, citizens of Canada Ukraine, Britain and Afghanistan were on the plane with 176 people on board.
