When the corona center sealed until March, the music at the Spira cultural center in Jönköping was silenced. Virtually all public events and performances were canceled. As the autumn season starts in mid-August, it is planned to play for only 50 people per performance, which is currently the recommendations of the Public Health Authority.
And this has cost. Ulrika Josefsson, acting chief executive of Småland's music and theater, tells Jönköpings-Posten that it has so far lost 5.5 million, and according to the forecast now lying, an additional s6 million is expected to be lost unless restrictions are lifted.
During the corona, Spira has moved some of its operations. Below, parts of the Sinfoniettan play outside a retirement home on Råslätt in Jönköping.
