SEK 120 million is distributed on the applications that have been granted support by the Media Support Committee. According to the Board, the funds that have been available have not been sufficient for all applications.
In Örebro County, Karlskoga newspaper, Sydnärkenytt, Länsposten in Örebro county and Nerikes have all been granted support. Karlskoga newspaper receives the most money, SEK 452,000.
The applications have been prioritized based on several aspects and relate to efforts to start, maintain or expand journalistic surveillance of poorly monitored areas. Recipients include newspapers, free magazines, web magazines and news apps.
