- We are in our peak season and in June 2020 we have had more calls than any previously registered month. It's a lot of viper bite now, says Erik Lindeman, chief medical officer at the Poison Information Center to SR.

Blood pressure drops, vomiting, swelling of the airways and diarrhea are some of the symptoms that can occur after a vomit bite. According to Erik Lindeman, on the other hand, it is very uncommon for people to die of a viper bite.

- Compared to snakes in Australia or India, the viper is a relatively nice creature. But it is quite serious to become a viper, he says.
