The grant has been applied for by non-profit associations in the municipality which, due to current restrictions, had a large loss of income during the period 12 March to 30 June. This time, the associations with large children's and youth activities have been given priority.

- We are grateful that our associations continue to do a good job despite tough conditions and hope that this contribution will make it easier for them to continue, says Henrik Andersson, chairman of the Culture and Leisure Committee.

J-Södra got the most

A total of 69 associations have applied for the grant and 56 of them have been granted support. Jönköpings Södra and Jönköpings Indebandi Club are the clubs that have received the largest part of the compensation contribution. Jönköpings Södra receives an additional SEK 500,000 and Jönköping's Indebandyklubb SEK 266,000.

- We have had a ceiling, that no association has received more than half a million SEK, so that the grant can reach as many as possible, says Henrik Andersson.

This is how Rickard Strandberg, District Sports Manager at RF-SISU Småland, said about the importance of supporting the associations when SVT met him in May.
