This week, the Public Health Authority issued the message that those who test positive for antibodies can interact with risk groups. This message may increase the interest in antibody testing, and this is known in the Kronoberg Region.

- We understand the interest and we are working to try to meet it. We have started trying out health and care professionals and blood donors. We always try more. When it comes to general antibody sampling, we hope to get it started in August and then there will be a deductible of SEK 200, says Christian Romin Blomkvist, infectious disease physician in the Kronoberg Region.

Awaiting to do broad testing

The Kalmar County region has no plans yet to introduce antibody testing for everyone, but just as in Kronoberg, they are already doing tests on health care personnel.

"We have started such tests, but focused on specific groups where we see that there was a greater spread of infection, but we are waiting to make the tests wider," says Sofia Hartz, planning director at the Kalmar region.

In the clip you can hear how Region Kalmar County motivates its decision to wait with antibody tests.
