A significant part of the citizens of the Russian Federation supported the amendment of the Constitution of the country. This is evidenced by the data of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Russia according to the results of processing 99.9% of the protocols.

Approximately 77.9% supported changes in the country's main law. At the same time, 21.26% opposed amendments to the Constitution. The total turnout was 65%.

Recall that the Russians could vote for a week - from June 25 to July 1. At the same time, residents of Moscow and the Nizhny Novgorod region in a pilot mode were given the opportunity to cast their ballots remotely using electronic newsletters.

Citizens of the Russian Federation were asked to answer one question: "Do you approve of amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation?" The participant could put a “yes” or “no” mark on the ballot.

In order for the amendments to enter into force, they must be supported by more than 50% of voters.

According to Andrei Klishas, co-chair of the working group on preparing amendments to the country's main law, head of the Federation Council committee on constitutional law and state building, preliminary results of the all-Russian vote indicate the failure of the so-called non-systemic opposition, whose representatives called for ignoring the vote.

“You are being rudely manipulated in an absolutely unworthy manner. At the center of this whole constitutional process, both in terms of content and in terms of the voting process, were people - people - and people appreciated it, ”Klishas emphasized on the Russia 1 television channel.

The Human Rights Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova, in turn, said that the all-Russian vote showed that citizens "are very active in their choices, interest in the future of the country."

“Yesterday, we held a meeting with our representatives from all federal districts, and they testify that today the voting system has changed significantly for the better, and the voting system has become more transparent. Public observers behave very actively, there is no antagonism with the commission ... The position of the observers has changed, they are actively armed with their knowledge and monitor that there are no stuffing, there are no violations, ”the TASS Ombudsman quotes.

She also indicated that the electronic voting participants liked the possibility of such a declaration of will.

“I proceed from the appeals that come to me: people liked the long vote, they liked the ability to use electronic communications in voting,” Moskalkova explained.

Note that at one of the precinct election commissions in Moscow, ballots are canceled due to a violation of the counting procedure.

“Having examined the video surveillance materials for July 1 from 11:00 p.m. to 11:03 p.m. from the premises of the polling station, the TEC of the Ramenki district in Moscow established that the voting procedure and the counting of votes by the precinct election commission were violated. The Commission decided to recognize the voting results on the issue of approving amendments to the Russian Constitution at the polling station No. 2783 as invalid, "said Alexei Venediktov, Deputy Chairman of the Public Chamber of Moscow, TASS.

Earlier, the chairman of the Central Election Commission, Ella Pamfilova, on the Russia 1 television channel, pointed out the absence of serious complaints about the process of holding an all-Russian vote.

“There are no excesses. We still do not have a single serious complaint about any serious violations that would require consideration at a meeting of the CEC. There was no information that there were any deletions of observers and media representatives, ”she said.

According to her, during the voting period only two of the 28 violations confirmed on the map of the Voice movement were confirmed as from reliable sources.

Answering a question from RT about the high turnout, she pointed out the preparatory work carried out by the Central Election Commission.

“We are a very dynamic electoral system. And we quickly adapted to work in a pandemic. We proposed an unprecedented voting procedure - within a week before the day of voting. They also provided everyone with sanitary protection, ”said Pamfilova.
