Police and ambulance were alerted to Enskede at 11pm on Wednesday evening, after witnesses alerted that they heard gunshots being fired. There they found a man with gunshot wounds.
"The injuries are serious and he has been taken to hospital," says Ola Österling, press officer at the Stockholm Police.
The area has been blocked off and the police have launched a preliminary investigation into attempted murder.
- We have relatively many patrols in place and are looking for suspects, says Österling.
An hour later, police write on their website that several people have been detained and that their roles should now be investigated.
