The Ministry of Transport, through the Regional Transport Consortium, has designed a Special Mobility Plan to guarantee student access to the six public universities where the EvAU will be held from July 6 to 9.

This plan includes a reinforcement of the offer of all means of transport - Metro, Light Rail, EMT and intercity buses and Cercanías - fundamentally at the start and end times of the exams, which will take place in Complutense, Autónoma , the Polytechnic, the University of Alcalá de Henares, Carlos III and King Juan Carlos.

In addition, a special device will be deployed in the exchangers to control the influx of passengers, guarantee safety distances and facilitate movements. And there will also be inspectors at the head of the most important bus lines to university campuses.

To manage all the resources that are part of the plan, there will be real-time monitoring from the control center of the Regional Transport Consortium.

"The objective of this plan is to guarantee the mobility of the students who are going to take the university entrance exams and to do so with the maximum guarantees of security , with an offer of public transport that minimizes possible crowds," said the counselor for Transport, Ángel Garrido, who added that the regional government wants "that public transport continues to be an effective and safe alternative to the private vehicle and that young people can use it with confidence."

On the university campuses where the EvAU will be held, three Metro lines, one Light Metro line, 15 EMT bus lines, three Cercanías train lines and 47 intercity bus lines serve , as indicated by the Ministry of Transport .

Reinforcement, medium to medium

The Line 6 Metro de Madrid, which gives access to the Complutense and the Polytechnic, will strengthen 67% , and 7 , which goes to the Faculty of Commerce and Tourism. The service on line 12 (MetroSur) will also be strengthened to facilitate entry to the Rey Juan Carlos and Carlos III campuses. And, lastly, the personnel of stations and security guards will be strengthened in those stations with the largest influx of travelers, such as Metropolitano, Guzmán el Bueno, Príncipe Pío, Argüelles, Moncloa, Philippine Islands and Rey Juan Carlos University.

In the case of the EMT , the three specific lines (F, G and U) that usually serve during the course on the campus of the University City will be reactivated. Those lines will be added to 46, 82, 83, 132, 133, 160, 161 and 162, with stops at Ciudad Universitaria, and to A and H, which go to the Somosaguas campus. The 13 lines will have an offer of 165 buses, although it could be increased if necessary.

The intercity buses , 37 intercity lines and 10 urban municipalities where the campus is located, also added reinforcements. In the 10 lines that serve the EvAU headquarters (714, 827, 227, 631, 633, 519A, 522 and in Alcalá, the L1A, L1B and L2) the service will be increased, matching the offer to one school day, adapting the times at the entrance and exit of students of the exams. In addition, on lines 227, 714 and L2 Alcalá there will be special shuttle-type services, direct to the university, which will coincide with the entrance and exit times of the tests.

In Cercanías , the C-4 line will be reinforced with special trains from the Villaverde Alto station to attend the entrance of students and from the Tres Cantos station to attend the exit. The frequencies will be between 6 and 12 minutes in rush hour. On the C-2, C-5 and C-8 , trains will run every five minutes during the busiest times.

As for the interchanges , an operation will be established to control the influx of travelers and facilitate their transit, which includes measures to reinforce security and surveillance, paying attention to transport users keeping the safety distance, wearing the mask (mandatory) and comply with hygiene measures. The measures that are being carried out for the management of queues in the docks will also be reinforced to avoid crowds and order the waiting of users. The most affected exchangers are expected to be at Plaza de Castilla , due to its connection with the Autonomous; that of Moncloa , due to its proximity to the University City; and, to a lesser extent, those of Avenida de América, Príncipe Pío and Plaza Elíptica .
