On July 1, China's independent design and construction of the world's first Shanghai-Sutong Yangtze River Highway and Railway Bridge with a main span of 1,000 kilometers was completed, and it opened and operated in synchronization with the Shanghai-Sutong Railway.

  According to reports, the Shanghai-Sutong Yangtze River Express Railway Bridge has a total length of 11072 meters, of which the main bridge is 5827 meters long, the north-south approach bridge is 5245 meters long, and the main span is 1092 meters. It is the world's first 4-line railway + 6-lane road, and the main span exceeds 1,000. The dual-purpose cable-stayed bridge between the railway and the railway can meet the navigation requirements of 50,000-ton container ships and 100,000-ton bulk carriers. .
