Arrested in Rome by the Italian Carabinieri 4. The orders for pre-trial detention carried out in the capital and in Sarno were issued by the investigating magistrate at the request of the Rome public prosecutor's office. The 4 who are under house arrest will have to answer in various capacities for fraud and extortion. 

Everything revolved around the so-called mirror scam. From a stationary or slow-moving car, an object was thrown at the mirror, the most exposed part of the cars. Sometimes the side was also targeted. The blow was barely perceptible. After the scammers joined the coach of the victim and began negotiations to resolve the matter in friendship. Sometimes, however, they also resorted to heavy threats.

The investigations of the carabinieri, directed by the Serious Crimes Group against the Public Prosecutor's Office, started after the complaint of an 84-year-old, initially victim of the so-called mirror scam and subsequently of extortion. They would have extorted 50,000 euros in cash from a lawyer because a watch, a wedding ring and a hand would be damaged in the fake accident.

For investigators, the turnover was around 30 thousand euros per month.
