It was the night between April 25 and 26 that the man, who has a home address in Jönköping Municipality, went into a yard outside Habo and stole a wheel loader there. He drove at high speed from the farm and was close to driving on the farm owner. The man then continued his journey on the wheel loader towards central Habo. Outside Ica, he overturned a car and then drove the vehicle into a residential building and garage.

After the vehicle got stuck in the garage, the man ran from the scene and got into a residential building where he threatened the resident with a knife and demanded to get the keys to a car.

The police were able to follow the man and stopped him after a shorter car chase. The man has acknowledged the deeds. He stated that he had been drug-affected and that his focus had been on getting a better car.

Jönköping's district court sentenced the man to 11 of the 12 crimes he was charged with. Among other things, serious illegal threats, gross misappropriation of illegal means, illegal driving, and gross drunk driving.
