He was evacuated to the Nantes University Hospital. Early Tuesday afternoon, a 65-year-old man was hit in the thigh by a gunshot, firefighters report. Supported by the emergency services in serious condition shortly after 2 p.m., he participated in a hunting party at La Chalopinière, in Sainte-Pazanne (Loire-Atlantique).

According to the newspaper Ouest-France , the victim was chasing the boar with another man when the accident took place. Trying to target an animal, it is this second hunter who is believed to be the source of the shot. The daily reports that investigations must take place to ensure that the hunting party was conducted in accordance with security requirements.
