This figure of 160,000 people tested positive per day is a record, they were 150,000 the previous seven days. Just on June 28, 189,541 new cases were identified on the planet, another record, according to WHO statistics.
Since the start of the pandemic, the new coronavirus has killed more than 511,000 people worldwide. In total, more than 10.5 million cases have already been identified, of which at least 5.3 million are now considered to be cured.
