F35 Asia/Pacific maintenance base Aichi factory starts operation 19th July 1st

As a maintenance base in the Asia-Pacific region for the state-of-the-art stealth fighter F35 deployed in the Air Self-Defense Force and the United States Army, the plant of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Aichi Prefecture will start operation from this month.

The F35 is a state-of-the-art stealth fighter developed by the United States and the United Kingdom, and the Ministry of Defense has already deployed the F35A and the F35B that will be purchased in the future that can take off on a short runway and land vertically. We plan to deploy more than 140 aircraft in total.

At the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries factory in Toyoyama-cho, Aichi prefecture, the final assembly of the F35A for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force is underway, but this factory will also start operation from this month as the F35 maintenance base in the Asia-Pacific region. It was decided.
