An extended system. While in August 2018 had been signed between the RATP, the Paris Prosecutor's Office and the police prefecture an agreement to experiment for six months the filing of complaints at the resort for foreign tourists, the device is generalized from this Wednesday.

All 256 stations and intramural stations now offer this possibility, after an initial extension to 49 stations and stations in Paris in 2019.

At the end of 2019, more than 300 complaints were received

According to the transport authority, "this device allows foreign tourists victims of simple thefts to file complaints directly on the RATP network, with the aim of facilitating the procedures for victims and the work of the police". This concerns thefts "without violence and without the possibility of immediately identifying the guilty person, and whose damage does not exceed 1,000 euros".

The form in French and English is available at stations and can be completed by victims with the help of a RATP agent. "By immediately obtaining a copy of the complaint, justifying the damage suffered, the victims will be able to initiate their procedures very quickly with the insurance companies and, if necessary, with the services of their reference administration", adds RATP. The procedure must also bring "significant time savings to the police".

At the end of 2019, more than 300 complaints were received at the 49 stations and stations concerned. Saint-Michel, Opéra and Châtelet were the sites where the complaint registration was the most important and 51 nationalities were concerned.
