According to the IC, citing the conclusion of the expert examination, “two of the sisters at the time of the murder could be aware of the actual nature of the actions and lead them.”

On July 27, 2018, the body of Mikhail Khachaturian with multiple stab wounds was found in a house on Altufevskoye Shosse. In August 2018, the Khachaturian sisters pleaded guilty to the murder of their father and gave detailed evidence in the framework of this case.

In December 2019, the UK announced the completion of the investigation of the criminal case against the Khachaturian sisters accused of killing their father.

In January 2020, it became known that the Prosecutor General's Office obliged the UK to retrain the charge against the Khachaturian sisters. In May, it became known that the UK did not retrain the actions of the Khachaturian sisters on self-defense.
