A tweet on the official account of the British "Black Life Mission" movement, in which it declared support for the Palestinian people against the Israeli occupation, turned into a true political battle between the movement and the supporters of Israel, who described it as supporting anti-Semitism, which was rejected by members of the anti-racism movement.

The tweet was among the most widely circulated in Britain, after it gained tens of thousands of comments and retweeting, which made it turn into a bloody material for media and political discussion, after the pro-occupation lobby carried out mass media and social networking sites, marking the tweet being anti-Semitic.

This tweet is the first public position of the movement in which it explicitly supports the Palestinian cause and opposes the occupation.

It read: "As Israel moves forward with the annexation of the West Bank, and in light of the British policy that is silent on the right to criticize Zionism and the practices of the Israeli occupation settlements, we stand loud and clear on the side of our Palestinian comrades."

The position expressed by the movement “The Blacks Life is Important” derives its strength from the strength of the movement which, in a few weeks, turned into a real actor capable of moving the street and organizing demonstrations in which tens of thousands participate, in addition to its ability to influence the change of the agenda of the political debate, which makes Any statement that has wide interest and interaction.

The position expressed by the movement derives its strength from its strength after it was transformed within a few weeks into a real actor (Al-Jazeera).

Issues outside Britain

This position came as a surprise to many who did not expect the movement to engage in issues outside of British issues, or to express support for peoples and other issues outside Britain.

Perhaps the more important thing is the controversy that has arisen in the British political scene, after the decision of the leader of the British Labor Party, Keer Starmer, to dismiss the leader of the party, Rebecca Long Bailey, from the shadow government. He was trained by the Israeli occupation forces.

After that, criticism poured into Long Bailey, who was considered Jeremy Corbyn's heir to the Labor Party, and bore almost the same thoughts on the Palestinian issue. Faced with pressure, the leader of the opposition party decided to dismiss her, under the pretext of "anti-Semitism."

Do not back down from supporting the Palestinians

After the great interaction with the first tweet, the movement continued to publish other tweets confirming that it would not back down from supporting the Palestinians, noting that "Solidarity and learning from the Palestinian struggle against systematic racism has always been part of our common struggle and our common strength."

The movement has published many clips for a number of Jewish academics who warn against confusing criticism of Israel and the occupation with anti-Semitism, in addition to a saying of the symbol of the struggle against racism, the British militant Angela Davis, who was said to be "the Palestinian people as an inspiration to everyone who fights racism and injustice."

The situation came as a surprise to many who did not expect the movement to engage in issues outside of British issues (Al-Jazeera).

The lobby is angry

For his part, head of the British Jewish Parliamentary Assembly, Mary van der Ziel, considered that the movement, which believes that there is suffocation of any discussion about Israel, "is anti-Semitic."

The British parliamentarian considered that the movement's position is frustrating for him, "and that everything that came is a claim and there is no restriction on the discussion on Israel."

The attack did not stop there. Rather, the campaign against anti-Semitism in Britain went as far as accusing the movement of being silent about the attacks carried out by its supporters against some of the British Jewish citizens.

The campaign wrote an angry tweet in which it accused the movement of spreading hatred and division within society, and called on those responsible for it to "educate themselves and not be satisfied with stereotypes."

It does not appear that the violent attack launched on the movement made it retract its position, on the contrary, it continued to publish a series of tweets in which it says that facing all forms of colonialism and occupation is the battle of all supporters of justice and equality, and it will be difficult to withdraw legal and popular legitimacy from this movement that currently enjoys With universal sympathy and respect.

This explains the great satisfaction and welcome among the supporters of the Palestinian cause in Britain, who were considered to have gained a strong friend in the United Kingdom.
