Sunday, Laurent Soulié, head of list of "Tournefeuille audacious, inventive, united", obtained 3,757 votes in the second round of the municipal elections in this commune of 27,000 inhabitants, located in the western suburbs of Toulouse. It is 48 less than the outgoing socialist mayor Dominique Fouchier, narrowly re-elected within the framework of a triangular (the various left Stéphane Mériodeau obtained 949 votes).

The centrist candidate, supported by LREM, announced Monday that he was filing an appeal before the Toulouse administrative court.

Out of respect for our voters and democracy, following the numerous irregularities noted throughout this # Municipales2020 campaign in #Tournefeuille as well as on the election day for the 2nd round, we decided to file an appeal before the administrative court. pic.twitter.com/90AwYrltSW

An approach that he justified in a press release "out of respect for our voters and democracy", and "following the numerous irregularities noted throughout this campaign of municipal elections in Tournefeuille as well as the polling day of the second round". Laurent Soulié notably targets the content of the municipal bulletin in the weeks preceding the election.
