The pactista temperature rises in the PP. From veteran deputies to barons , the number of popular demands for an understanding with the PSOE is growing for days, as the economic crisis looms over Spain again.

While Ana Pastor approaches positions with Salvador Illa on a State agreement on health matters, the President of Castilla y León, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, has proposed on Tuesday some regional budgets prepared together with the PSOE.

During his first Debate on the State of the Community, which began on Tuesday in the Cortes of Castilla y León, the President of the Autonomous Executive has advocated transforming everything that has happened in recent months into an opportunity to promote a broad modernization process and "maintain the spirit of the Pact for Recovery" in order to reach consensus on the community's next budgets.

It must be remembered that the Castilian-Leonese baron has already agreed with the main parties -all except Vox and Unión del Pueblo Leonés, which have only one attorney each in the Cortes- a common strategy to combat the coronavirus, with 85 measures.

Regional unit

Now, Fernández Mañueco has encouraged the development of these measures in Budgets of regional unity. Thus, he has invited all the Groups of this Chamber, and especially the PSOE, to agree on the project.

"In the Government of Castilla y León we are ready to do this. We can continue to be an example for Spain," he stressed.

The PP leader has thus launched a notice to navigators who in his environment are addressed, above all, to Pedro Sánchez, who is the one who should lead the attempt to reach a consensus on the General State Budgets for 2021, since it is he who governs.

Before the watchful eye of the PP spokesman in the Senate, Javier Maroto (parliamentarian for this autonomy), Fernández Mañueco has stressed that health is still the highest budget priority.

Ready for a regrowth

The Board will reinforce hospital devices, with an increase in ICUs in all hospitals to 235 in Castilla y León. In other words, more than an additional 40%.

He also announced that this fall the vaccination coverage against influenza will be increased with the aim of exceeding 75% of those over 60 years of age and socio-health personnel, in order to reduce its impact due to the possibility that it coincides with a outbreak of the Covid-19, as reported by the Board.

Mañueco has opted to reinforce the institutional role of the communities, and their dialogue more regularly and effectively with the other powers of the State.

In this sense, he has claimed that the distribution of the non-reimbursable fund of 16,000 million state euros "must fairly serve the communities most affected by the pandemic and the real costs it has entailed", and not turn to population criteria.
