Koreans in their 50s were arrested in Thailand on charges of stealing large amounts from Korean investors by deceiving that their wife was a princess of the Thai royal family and that she was acquainted with a senior Thai military.

According to the Korean embassy in Thailand, Ambassador Lee Wook-heon, Thai police arrested Yoon Mo (55) for illegal immigration and smiling passports in cooperation with the embassy.

He has been found to have been illegally staying in Thailand by immigrating to Indonesian Immigration and changing his residence and telephone number frequently.

In addition to illegal stays, Mr. Yoon was deceived in attracting a business that sells wells worth 60 billion won in Hat Yai City, Songkhla Province in southern Thailand. There is.

According to the embassy, Mr. Yoon is known to have earned cheers from investors by lying to his seniors of the Thai military because he is a Thai monk and his wife is a Thai princess.

In the process, the embassy reported that he had deceived investors by showing photos of his companions in the background and pictures taken with his wife, who was deceived as a royal princess.

One of the victims was suspected in the middle, but it was reported that Mr. Yoon said he was frightened to report to the police because he was so good, his wife was a princess, and she had a relationship with a high-ranking Thai military official.

In order to reduce the suspicion of investors, Yoon introduced their wives to them or even allowed them to stay in their own homes.

Embassy officials said Mr. Yoon appears to have sought investors in South Korea for crimes in order to take advantage of the relatively dark spots in Thailand's affairs rather than local residents.

The embassy said that several years ago, an article posted on the online community related to Thailand that said,'You have been deceived by a Korean Yun00' has been identified as two people.

"The victims will return to Korea and sue Mr. Yoon for fraud," said South Korean embassy Cho Jung-mi, a consular officer in South Korea.
