This is the second time in three days that a Russian military plane has lifted off to intercept a US fighter jet. On the 26th, the Su-30 fighter of the Russian Black Sea Fleet took off, intercepting the US P-8A "Poseidon" patrol aircraft, the RC-135 strategic reconnaissance aircraft, and a KC-135 air tanker.
