China said it would limit the entry of Chinese officials who were deeply involved in these measures.
``In the meantime, the scheme by which the U.S. impedes legislation related to national security in Hong Kong through sanctions will never be as expected,'' said Zhao Zhong Jing, a spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in response.
