President Moon Moon emphasizes achievements of Japan's strengthening of export control June 29, 18:27

President Moon Jae-in (Moon Jin-Tae), the president of South Korea, said that it was one year after the Japanese government announced measures to tighten export control of semiconductor raw materials for South Korea on the 1st of next month. As we have established a stable supply system by promoting domestic production of parts and parts, we emphasized the results of our efforts so far.

On July 1, last year, the Japanese government announced measures to tighten export control to South Korea for high-purity hydrogen fluoride, polyimide fluoride, and resist, which are used as raw materials for semiconductors.

Then, one year before the 1st of next month, South Korean President Moon Jae-in said at a meeting on the 29th, "We have been breaking through without being shaken by the measures of Japan. The negative view of being affected was not correct." He acknowledged that he did not hinder the production of semiconductors in South Korea.

On that basis, President Moon emphasized the results of his efforts so far, saying that he has built a stable supply system by promoting the domestic production of materials and parts.

Regarding the measures taken by the Japanese government, the Korean government has filed a lawsuit against the WTO (World Trade Organization) for violating international trade rules. It is expected that a consideration will be given to whether to set up a committee.
