China News Service, June 29. According to a report by the Washington Post on the 29th, a restaurant near the Michigan State University campus in the United States is suspected of an outbreak of cluster infection. At least 85 confirmed cases of the new crown are associated with it.

According to reports, this restaurant is called "Harper's Restaurant and Brew Pub" and is popular among local college students. The health department of Ingham County (Ingham) said that most infected people have been to this restaurant between June 12 and 20.

Health Department spokesman Amanda Darche said that of the 80 confirmed new crown cases, at least 25 have been identified as Michigan State University students who have been to the restaurant. There are also 5 confirmed cases of indirect infection, which means that they may be infected with the new coronavirus due to contact with people who have been to restaurants.

Health official Linda Vail also said that because students often travel between home and school, 13 counties across the state have reported cases.

As the state restarted in stages, the restaurant opened on June 8th with 50% passenger traffic. According to a press release issued by the health department last week, inspectors believe that the restaurant complies with local epidemic prevention guidelines, such as limiting capacity and maintaining proper table spacing.

On June 28 local time, the restaurant announced that it will be temporarily closed to improve public health.

In addition to Michigan, bars and restaurants in other US states have also reopened. However, due to repeated epidemics, states such as Texas and Florida have cancelled policies to relax epidemic prevention restrictions and ordered the closure of bars.
