The man and woman are suspected of gross rape against children and gross sexual abuse of children. According to the prosecutor, these crimes should have occurred between autumn 2017 and 2019.
People are also suspected of serious child pornography crimes between the fall of 2017 and until they were arrested last Saturday.
All crimes must have taken place in the municipality of Östersund.
During the Monday afternoon, the detention proceedings are underway in the district court. The prosecutor requests that they both be detained with restrictions.
