The draft of the Criminal Law Amendment (Eleven) submitted to the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress this time intends to amend and improve the Criminal Law from six aspects, with a total of 30 additional amendments.
In terms of strengthening the protection of the criminal law of public health, it is proposed to amend the crime of obstructing the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases, and to include infectious diseases such as New Coronary Pneumonia and other legally determined infectious disease management measures that are included in the scope of this crime.
In order to protect public health safety, summarizing the experience and needs of the new coronary pneumonia epidemic prevention and control, and linking with the revision of the Wild Animal Protection Law, Biosecurity Law, Infectious Disease Prevention Law and other laws, it is proposed to make the following amendments to the Criminal Law:
One is to amend the crime of obstructing the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases, and to further clarify the infectious diseases such as New Coronary Pneumonia and other legally determined infectious disease management measures that fall within the scope of this crime.
