Socialist Mickaël Delafosse is ahead of outgoing mayor (DVG) Philippe Saurel, 12.5 points ahead in the second round of municipal elections on Sunday, according to one estimate.

Supported by environmentalists and rebellious France, the socialist candidate Mickaël Delafosse is ahead of the outgoing mayor (DVG) Philippe Saurel with 12.5 points ahead in the second round of the municipal elections in Montpellier, according to an Ipsos-Sopra Steria estimate. He obtained 47% of the votes, against 34.5% for Philippe Saurel. The billionaire Mohed Altrad comes in third with 18.5% of the vote.
