According to results published by Midi Libre, Jean-Paul Fournier (LR) was elected mayor of Nîmes (Gard) this Sunday, with 41.16%. Elected for the first time in 2001 at the head of the capital of Gard, he re-elected for a fourth term.

Vincent Bouget (various left) is in second position, with 26.48% of the votes. Yvan Lachaud (New center, supported by LREM), former municipal councilor of Jean-Paul Fournier and president of the metropolis, came third with 18.46%.

Finally, the list of Yoann Gillet (RN) is in last position, with 13.10%.

Already first in the first round

"It's a moment of joy and pride," said Jean-Paul Fournier, the first estimates, which gave him the winner, at Via Occitanie. I believe that the left could not return. They make a good score, but they are still far behind me. "We are the first opposition force, we want to be useful to Nîmes and Nîmes, and build the future," said Vincent Bouget.
