Frédérique Thiennot, a centrist, an emergency doctor by profession, is the new mayor of Pamiers in Ariège. By collecting 41.4% of the votes, it won the municipal election and dethroned André Trigano (DvD, 38.7%) who, at 94, has been camping at the town hall since 1995.
