It was at 20.30 on Sunday evening that the alarm came from private persons who saw a person in the water. According to Fredrik Andersson, the police officer in the East Region of the police, the persons must have managed to hold the woman to the surface and when the rescue service came to the scene they could pull her out of the water.
She was treated on the spot by ambulance staff and according to the police, must have been alive, however, her injuries can still be serious.
Why she ended up in the water and how long she was in the water is unclear.
