The American president had made it one of his campaign promises in 2016. Struggling in recent weeks, he seems to want to return to his favorite themes. His previous attempts to repeal the Obamacare have so far been unsuccessful. If the Supreme Court agrees, the reform of the health care system will be over.

For Democrats, this is a shameful maneuver. Friday, Nancy Pelosi spoke of "act of cruelty in these times of pandemic": "  At the heart of the pandemic, the White House, in the middle of the night, seized the Supreme Court to overthrow the Obamacare. By that, they say to the Americans, you will no longer be entitled to a quality health care system.  "

The new request was filed Thursday, a few minutes before midnight: deadline for judges to take up files for the next session of the court.
The first debates should not take place until the fall. And it will probably have to wait after the election for a decision.

The subject of health, which is already one of the flagship subjects of the campaign, is therefore likely to occupy a large place in the debates between Donald Trump and Joe Biden. The American president who denounced this Saturday again, on Twitter, an Obamacare too expensive.
