In his appeal, the legislator recalled that earlier, against the backdrop of a coronavirus pandemic, temporary changes occurred in the conditions for calculating unemployment benefits.

So, one of the parents dismissed from March 1 of this year in April, May and June should be assigned an additional payment of 3 thousand rubles for each child.

According to Fedorov, this measure, even after the pandemic, could remain significant support for families with children who find themselves in a difficult financial situation.

“In this regard, I ask you to consider the possibility of maintaining a similar surcharge for unemployment benefits on a permanent basis, as well as the possibility of increasing the amount of children's surcharges from 3 thousand to 5 thousand rubles for each child,” the statement says.

Earlier, the National Parents Committee proposed to compensate child support that was not paid to children due to loss of work by one of the parents during the period of self-isolation.
