Obviously zero incidents with the police, but not many people. This is the mixed assessment of the demonstration in support of the police this Saturday. A few dozen people still gathered this afternoon in front of the Paris police headquarters at the call of the association of policewomen to "support the profession in the face of accusations of racism and widespread illegitimate violence among its ranks "

"We are there to thwart everything we hear at the moment," racist police, violent police "(….) No! All our police officers are not racist, and are not violent ”, called in the gallery Aurélie Laroussie, president of FFOC, the association Women of the forces of the order in anger, while calling to condemn these behaviors when occur.

Social networks in the mirror

"Social networks hurt a lot, we're not going to lie to each other," added the president of the association, with reference to the numerous videos of muscular arrests which now circulate almost every day. "We talk a lot about police violence and never about the cause, why our police and gendarmes get there," argued Aurélie Laroussie.

This association, which brings together on its Facebook page more than 12,000 members, is made up of wives and companions of members of the police and security forces: police, gendarmes, municipal police, Civil security, firefighters.

"Yellow vests" want to invite themselves

While these professions are held to the duty of reserve and a ban on demonstrations, their families regularly take over, alongside police unions, to denounce the conditions for the exercise of their loved ones or to counter certain anti-police speeches.

"Our loved ones are attacked, our children of police officers and soldiers have to go to school learning not to say what their parents do, because the acts against the police and their loved ones are becoming more and more violent and worrying ”, argues for his part, Delphine Berdet, treasurer of the association.

A dozen counter-demonstrators, “yellow vests” or far-left activists were prevented by the security forces, present in number, from gaining access to the rally. After an identity check, they were asked to leave the area.
