In his Facebook, he recalled the anniversary of the signing of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.

According to him, after the "revolutionary events on the Maidan and the treacherous position of Yanukovych’s authorities," this step gained even more symbolic weight.

“In one sign they laid the indestructible foundation of Ukraine’s European integration,” Poroshenko notes.

According to the former president, Ukraine, having concluded the agreement, “fixed its sovereign choice for the benefit of future EU membership”.

He noted that the current government in Ukraine “loudly declares” its commitment to the course of European integration.

According to Poroshenko, there are many tasks, among which - updating the agreement, integration into the digital and energy markets, joint aviation space, association with Schengen and the prospect of membership.

“Nobody is allowed to review and God forbid to distract Ukraine from the chosen course and return the Ukrainian people to the Moscow stall,” Poroshenko quotes Interfax-Ukraine.

Earlier, Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said that the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU can be considered as a detonator of the "Maidan".
