Again in the night from Friday to Saturday, police demonstrated illegally in Paris. One of them confides in Europe 1, evoking the "distress" of his colleagues. "For years, the National Police have been abandoned," said the peacekeeper.

TESTIMONY

More than 200 policemen gathered Friday evening in front of the Bataclan in Paris, symbolic place of the attacks of November 13, to protest against the accusations of police violence and racism against their profession, and denounce a lack of support from the ministry inside. A new demonstration after two weeks punctuated by nocturnal gatherings in various places in the capital. Paul * is one of the police officers who participated in all these operations, to express what is no longer anger, "but distress", he explains on the microphone of Europe 1.

"In 2015, we were the new heroes, and here we are spit on"

"In 2015, we were the new heroes, and here we are spit on," regrets Paul, fearing that the situation will be identical in a few months for carers, heroes of the health crisis. "They are applauded at the moment, but in a few months, the nurses will be attacked in the emergency room." "For years, we have left the National Police, much like all the pillars of the Republic, abandoned," said the peacekeeper.

So, to show his anger, Paul has been participating in illegal demonstrations for two weeks. "It's the only way to be heard," replied the policeman. "We do not demonstrate for the maintenance of the bottleneck or to continue to be racist as we can read on social networks," said the police officer at the microphone of Europe 1.

Paul recognizes "a cruel lack of training"

According to him, a majority of the police would "agree" to withdraw this method of arrest which has caused controversy many times. "But in this case, we have to have training to teach us something to replace it," warns Paul. "This is also our cry of distress: our cruel lack of training," he concludes.
