Commander Harry McGuire scored a goal near the end of extra time to lead Manchester United to qualify for the FA Cup semi-finals with a 2-1 victory with a difficulty over Norwich City on Saturday.

It seemed that the match would reach the penalty shootout, after Norwich, who has been playing with ten players since the 89th minute, defended solidly against the constant pressure of coach Olli Gunnar Solshire's team before Maguire scored the victory goal in the 118th minute.

United advanced with a goal in the 51st minute when Juan Mata tried to deal with a cross from Luke Shaw to reach the Nigerian Odeon Igalo, who hit shortly into the goal.

But Norwich managed to equalize after a powerful shot from Todd Cantwell from about 25 meters a quarter of an hour before the end of normal time.

Solshire included his most prominent players such as Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic, and United tried to avoid the extra time before Norwich defender Tim Klose was sent off after a foul against Igalo on the edge of the penalty area.

The match became one-way towards goalkeeper Tim Kroll's goal, before he exploited a defensive confusion in the penalty area, and pursued a cross to score the goal of qualifying for the semi-finals for the 30th time in its history.
