British anti-terrorism police announced on Saturday the murder and attempted murder charges of the suspect arrested after the knife attack that killed three people in Reading on June 20.

The suspect arrested after the knife attack that killed three people in Reading (west London) on June 20 has been charged with murder and attempted murder, British anti-terror police said on Saturday. Khairi Saadallah, a 25-year-old Libyan refugee, described by his family as suffering from mental problems following the war in Libya, was arrested a few minutes after he began attacking groups gathered in a park in this city of 200,000 inhabitants. The latter must be presented on June 29 before a London court.

The Reading attack left three people dead, including an American, and three injured, all of whom have since been released from hospital. The police consider the attack to be "terrorist in nature", but considers that the suspect acted alone and is not looking for anyone else.
