Lazio, beaten on Atalanta's field (3-2) in the previous day, after a streak of 21 undefeated matches, returned to victory on Saturday at the expense of Fiorentina, dominated 2-1 in Rome despite a splendid goal from Franck Ribéry.

Simone Inzaghi's team thus consolidates its second place, still four lengths behind Juventus, which swept Lecce 4-0 Friday in the opening game of this 28th day, the third since the post-containment recovery.

La Fiorentina remains in 13th place, with 31 points, at a comfortable distance from Lecce (25 pts), 18th and first relegation.

Franck Ribéry, for his second match after his return from injury and at the height of his 37 years, opened the scoring in the 25th minute on a personal feat: two opponents eliminated on a double contact, a third on a fake strike, punctuated by an unstoppable low shot for the Albanian goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha. High class !

At the resumption, the Florentines even passed very close to doubling the mark by the former Lyonnais Rachid Ghezzal, whose strike wound from the left outside the repair area ended its race on the transverse of Strakosha (49th) .

--General penalty--

But Lazio shifted into high gear and logically equalized, on a penalty however generous, whistled for an unclear fault of the Polish goalkeeper Bartlomiej Dragowski on the Ecuadorian striker Felipe Caicedo (67th). A penalty transformed by the inevitable Ciro Immobile. With 28 goals on the clock, the cannonier consolidates his first place in the scorer ranking, ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo (23).

The Romans finally snatched the victory, logic over the whole match, over a personal feat of the Spaniard Luis Alberto, who left the central circle to go and beat Dragowski with a shot wound at ground level (83rd).

A little earlier, Cagliari, who had won on the field of Spal (1-0) in the previous day after four consecutive defeats in the league, confirmed his good reaction, at home this time, dominating the Torino 4 to 2.

The team of former Italian international goalkeeper Walter Zenga, appointed in March, is still tied for 10th place.

For its part, the Torino remains 14th to ten days from the end, also within comfortable distance from Lecce.

At the end of the afternoon, Brescia darkened his future a little more by conceding a draw at home (2-2) against Genoa. With 18 points, the Lombard club remains a red lantern tied with SPAL, and misses the opportunity to return to five points from its opponent of the day, the first non-relegation (17th, 26 points).

The 28th day of Serie A continues and ends on Sunday, with in particular the matches Parma (7th) -Inter Milan (3rd), Udinese (15th) -Atalanta (4th) and AC Milan (8th) -AS Rome (5th).
