They are three naval police with two watercraft to guard the Stockholm archipelago from Norrtälje to Södertälje, with a focus on watercraft drivers who do not follow the sea rules.

- We already see that we write more reports and distributed fines for high speeds and carelessness in traffic, says Johan Skogfeldt, Group Chief of the Naval Police Stockholm.

"At least one scooter a week stolen"

A water scooter weighs about 500 kilos and has a maximum speed between 90 - 130 kilometers per hour. In June 2019, an age limit of 15 years was introduced to operate watercraft.

- We see that many drivers on watercraft drive at high speeds near bathers, which poses great danger. We always take a hit on the driver and the watercraft. At least one scooter a week is stolen, says Johan Johan Skogfeldt, Group Chief of Naval Police Stockholm.
