When many European countries shut down their societies and introduced strict coronary restrictions, Sweden stood out. Here, the tavern has been open and public gatherings are allowed throughout the pandemic, albeit to a limited extent. But when the spread of infection now seems to be slowing down, many countries' restrictions are starting to ease.

In Austria, in Iceland and in several of the Baltic states, the rules on peoples' collections are now more generous than the Swedish ones. These days, restrictions are eased even more in many countries, but many have reserved themselves for changes to be made at short notice depending on the mode of infection.
