The occupation army launched an air and artillery bombardment on Palestinian resistance sites and on agricultural land north and south of the Gaza Strip, and the shelling caused material damage to the targeted locations without any injuries reported. Israel had announced that two rockets had been fired from the Gaza Strip in an open area near the fence between the Strip and Israel.

Yesterday evening, Israeli fighters bombed a resistance site in southern Gaza with a number of missiles, after artillery shelling targeted resistance monitoring points east of Jabalia, north of the Gaza Strip.

A source in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said that the aerial bombardment targeted three locations and military points for the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the movement, and a location for Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement in Deir al-Balah, and Khan Yunis, south of the Strip.

In contrast, the Israeli army claimed in a statement that its fighters had attacked Hamas sites, including a missile production workshop and a military facility. The occupation army added that the shelling came in response to the firing of rockets from Gaza towards Israeli territory, and sirens sounded in the city of Sderot, near the Strip.

No resistance factions in Gaza have claimed responsibility for firing the rockets.

From time to time, the occupation army announces the monitoring of rocket fire from the Gaza Strip, but since the beginning of the Corona virus pandemic crisis, the border between Israel and Gaza has been relatively calm.

The Israeli bombing comes after Hamas warned Thursday that Israel’s annexation of parts of the occupied West Bank represents a "declaration of war", and the movement has vowed to regret this decision, which Tel Aviv is expected to implement early next month.
