According to him, WHO “always acts in good faith” for “best cooperation” with members of the organization.
In late May, Trump announced the severance of US relations with WHO following an investigation into the organization’s response to the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic and because of the “alarming lack of independence from China.”
WHO Director-General Tedros Adhan Ghebreyesus, in turn, promised to evaluate the organization's actions during the pandemic.
