- Doping: pending the sanctions commission -

Tested positive at EPO on September 18, 2019 during an internship at Font-Romeu (Pyrénées-Orientales), preceding his participation in the World Championships in Doha (eliminated in the 3000 m steeplechase series), Ophélie Claude-Boxberger is suspended provisionally on November 4 by the French Anti-Doping Agency (AFLD).

Her former youth coach Alain Flaccus, also a companion of her mother, who assisted her in her training, first accused herself of having inoculated her with a dose of EPO without her knowledge, while she was dozing , September 12 at Font-Romeu.

According to his own version, Mr. Flaccus, 72, explained that he had acted out of jealousy towards the doctor for the France team Jean-Michel Serra, with whom the 31-year-old cross-country skier has a romantic relationship. He hoped that the athlete's woes would spill over to the doctor, since fired by the federation.

Turning around, he changed his version on Friday and assured AFP that he was "not at the origin of this positive analysis at EPO". "Mr. Flaccus did not inject Ms. Claude-Boxberger," then said his lawyer Me Jean-Baptiste Euvrard.

Seized, the sanctions committee of the French Anti-Doping Agency (AFLD) must now summon Ophélie Claude-Boxberger for a hearing before sanctioning her (she risks 4 years of suspension) or laundering her.

"I have been waiting for my summons since the end of January and the end of the hearings. Time has stopped. Since November 5, my life is on hold and it is becoming untenable," she said to AFP, cut off. of his usual financial support.

Several appeals against his provisional suspension have been rejected by the Council of State.

- Poisoning or taking EPO: investigation in Paris, complaint in Montbéliard -

Judicial information, entrusted to the examining magistrates of the public health pole of the Paris judicial court, was opened in November in particular for trafficking in doping products and administration of prohibited substance, a procedure in which the athlete filed a complaint against M. Flaccus.

In parallel, she brought another legal action against her former coach for poisoning, in a procedure of direct quotation which aims to make it appear before the court of Montbéliard without police investigation.

"The direct quote is a legal illusion, we know that it will not do anything while the health center of the Paris public prosecutor's office has opened an investigation, we cannot orient public action in two different ways. These are media posturing" , denounces AFP the lawyer of Alain Flaccus, Me Euvrard.

A purely procedural hearing is scheduled for July 2 in Montbéliard.

- Sexual assault: threat of complaint -

At the heart of a chaotic family history, Ophélie Claude-Boxberger claims to have been the victim of sexual assault on the part of Alain Flaccus, then his trainer and already a companion of his mother, when she was a minor.

She explains to AFP that she plans to file a complaint soon against Alain Flaccus, who firmly denies any sexual assault. A first procedure opened in 2009 was closed without follow-up in 2011.

The question of prescription of facts could arise.
