Ukraine has requested assistance from NATO and the EU due to floods in the country

“The Ukrainian delegation to the EU and the Ukrainian mission to NATO turned to EU institutions and alliance structures to activate the EU civil defense mechanism and attract the NATO Euro-Atlantic center for responding to natural and man-made disasters,” said Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba.

It is specified that the department counts on partners supporting the efforts of the Ukrainian government to protect the life and health of Ukrainians, as well as critical infrastructure facilities.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, who flew into the Ivano-Frankivsk region, affected by the floods, said that he was struck by the scale of the disaster.
