The Egyptian international star Mohamed Salah continued his path towards achieving his dream of writing his name in letters in gold in the history of the English Premier League, after he managed to shake the net during his team Liverpool's 4-0 victory over its guest Crystal Palace yesterday, Wednesday, in the 31st stage of the competition.

Salah raised the number of goals in the prestigious championship this season to 17 goals, to share it second in the list of scorers with Gabon international international Pierre Emery Aubameyang, just two goals behind Jimmy Vardy, Leicester star (leader).

"The Egyptian King" dreams that he will be the third player in the history of the English Premier League who holds the title of top scorer in three consecutive seasons, after the two English legends Alain Shearer of Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle United, and the Frenchman Terry Henry of Arsenal.

What enhances Salah's ability to turn this dream into reality is that Fardi and Obamyang are moving away from their newly normal level, and their inability to score in their last two games for their teams since the contest resumed this month after stopping it last March due to the Corona virus.

And while Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, who is third in the top scorer with 16 goals, will have a tough time catching the title-scorer after suffering a knee injury last week, Southampton star Danny Ings, who also scored 16 goals, is considered One of the strongest competitors this season.

Sadio Mane and Mexican Raul Jimenez, Liverpool and Wolverhampton, respectively, will not be immune to this conflict as they share fourth place with 15 goals.

Salah was crowned the Premier League's top scorer in his first season with Liverpool (2017-2018) with 32 goals, becoming the most scoring player during one season in the tournament since it included 20 teams instead of 22 teams.

In the 2018-2019 season, Salah secured the top scorer again, in association with Aubameyang and Mane, with 22 goals each.

And it is still a good opportunity for Salah, who yesterday scored his first appearance in the championship after resuming after his absence from the Everton match last Sunday for fear of worsening his injury, to score more goals during the remaining seven matches of Liverpool in the tournament this season, and then enhance his chances of obtaining the shoe award Dahabi, which is awarded to the champions' goalsmen for the third consecutive season.

The first of these seven meetings for Liverpool against Manchester City, the second in the table for the championship, will be held on the second of next July.
