It is clarified that with the beginning of July, tougher import standards for right-hand drive cars will come into force in Russia and further registration and operation of such cars will become more complicated.

Lovers of right-hand drive vehicles of categories M2 and M3 will most of all have problems, which include dump trucks, construction special equipment, as well as minibuses, trucks with manipulators, and passenger buses. Since July, this equipment cannot be imported into the country at all.

Along with this, new rules will come into force to legalize changes made to the design of cars - the installation of gas equipment, winches, towbars and luggage racks. Owners of machines with such updates will have to provide their equipment for verification to special laboratories.

Another innovation will be additional tests to undergo a mandatory medical examination. The driver will be required to hand them over if the narcologist finds signs of alcohol or drug abuse in him.

Earlier, a member of the Public Chamber of Russia Sultan Khamzaev proposed depriving a driver’s license for double prosecution for appearing in a drunken state in public places.
