June 25, 2020 The World Health Organization (WHO) is concerned about an increase in coronavirus cases in Europe. "Last week, Europe saw an increase in the number of weekly" Covid-19 "cases for the first time in months," warned WHO European section director Hans Kluge at a conference print from copenhagen. "Thirty countries have seen an increase in the number of new cases in the past two weeks," he added.

According to the organization, Europe records around 20,000 new cases and over 700 new deaths every day. "In eleven of these countries, the acceleration of transmission has led to a very significant surge that, if not controlled, will once again push health systems to the brink of Europe," continued Kluge without naming a specific country .

The director of the WHO European section then greeted the "rapid" reaction of some countries such as Poland, Germany and Spain regarding the outbreak of new cases in "schools, coal mines and food production sites".
