25 June 2020The prosecutor of Busto Arsizio has opened an investigation into the murder and culpable disaster against unknown persons, for the collapse of the cornice of the building in via Marconi, which yesterday in Albizzate (Varese) caused the death of a woman and two children, 1 and 5 years old. To coordinate the investigations of the carabinieri of the company of Gallarate and of the provincial command of Varese is the prosecutor of Busto Arsizio, Nadia Calcaterra. According to what is learned, it will be necessary to ascertain the causes of the collapse of the 73-meter long "korea", which suddenly collapsed at 5.30 pm yesterday afternoon. On the basis of the first assessments, the hypothesis is of a structural failure of the building, a former shed converted into a small 'commercial center with a pizzeria and other businesses inside.

Noureddine Hannach, in front of his wife and two little children who died under the rubble of the collapsed roof of Albizzate (Varese), lay on the ground: "I saw a slaughterhouse, what can I do". It was a structural failure that caused the fall of the cornice, which struck and killed three people yesterday afternoon in Albizzate, in the Varese area. The victims are of Moroccan origin, a 38-year-old woman together with her 5-year-old son and 15-month-old daughter. The boy was riding his bike when he was overwhelmed; while the girl was taken to cardiac arrest at the hospital in Gallarate, where her death was reported. A fourth person was involved in the accident, a 42-year-old woman from Cassano Magnago (Varese), who is not life threatening and has remedied a 20-day prognosis. Another 9 year old Moroccan woman's son was unharmed.
