It was Monday that the new majority in Uddevalla presented its program statement. But just a few days later, this has led to three well-known names of the Center Party in the municipality submitting their missions in protest.

- We are not satisfied with how the negotiations on the new majority in Uddevalla have taken place. In addition, we are not satisfied with how they have been handled in our own party, says Torsten Tortensson, one of the three center politicians who have resigned.

In a press release, politicians write that they initially voted "albeit reluctantly but solidly" to negotiate with the Social Democrats for a new regime. But they are now dissatisfied with both the negotiations and the outcome.

- We think that one would not break the Alliance and partly that it is only the Social Democrats who have served on this. And to some extent the Moderates.

"We haven't lost records"

The three leaping politicians submit their assignments to the municipal councils, but retain their seats on the municipal council.

Group leader of the Center Party in Uddevalla, Elving Andersson, says he is a little surprised at the decision. He believes that Bjuhr, Torstensson and Olsson have been involved in discussions about the new political leadership and the distribution of posts.

- We have formulated what the requirements are, but since it was not exactly so in all parts of a discussion with four parties, it is quite understandable.

Do they think it's only the Social Democrats who win the deal?

- Of course, it is a valuation of who wins or loses. S is the largest party and M the second largest. It gives a certain dividend in terms of seats and bureaucracy. But it is not that we have lost any positions compared to what we have now.

The Social Democrats and the Moderates are for the first time ruling together in Uddevalla. The Center Party and the Liberals are also on the board. But how do S and M agree in the municipality? See the clip below.
